shimon.

Shimon Attie is an artist we very briefly covered in a class of mine recently. these are projections in berlin's pre-holocaust jewish neighborhood, projecting photos of shops or people who lived there on the original location or near by it. space/place/time/identity.

light.

so this is my first installation space. it was a lot to do with questioning what the hell i was doing with art, specifically photography. reconciling how light can be a tangible medium and our use of it as visual artists/people. the space was an enclosed environment and constantly changing due to the movement of the sun projecting onto the back of the screen. the video is time elapsed footage of a full day within the space.
